These templates and methods allows the programmer to manipulate data on both sides. Data can be read from the Excel sheet, modified, and then written back to the sheet, formulas can be added to the sheet, macros can be added and executed.

This release is the first EasyExcel release, that uses COM technology, so you receive now a full control over Microsoft Excel.

You'll get libraries (LIBs and DLLs), templates, examples and complete documentation for the class and templates (CHM file).

Migration from previous versions

EasyExcel ver. 1.x and ver. 2.x were based on the OLE technology. From version 3.0 EasyExcel use COM technology. Due to this, there was a huge changing in the internal libraries, classes and templates (see Changed methods and Changed templates in the docs), so it was impossible to make 100% compatibility with the old versions.

To make possible smooth migration from versions 2.x to version 3.x, EasyExcel 3.0 has different classes and templates set, so you can use both versions in one application at one time and bit by bit shift old (ver. 2.x) templates and methods to version 3.x.

Note: such smooth migration is possible only on Clarion 5.5. EasyExcel ver. 1.x and 2.x will not work with Clarion 6 and higher.
